Fred ‘Dude’ Leidner, 83, Vandalia

Fred “Dude” Leidner, 83, of Vandalia, died at 1:03 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Taylor Cemetery in Mulberry Grove, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating and military rites accorded by Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 of Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia. Memorials: USO (United Service Organization).

Mr. Leidner was born on Oct. 13, 1926, in Seminary Township, Fayette County, the son  of Fred and Mary Heather Leidner.
