Alice R. Donaldson, 98, Aledo

Alice Ruth Donaldson, 98, of Aledo, died on Friday, April 16, 2010, at Mercer County Nursing Home in Aledo.

Services were held at 4 p.m. on Monday at Speer Funeral Home in Aledo. Private family inurnment was to be held in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Memorials: Donor’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.speerfuneral home.com.

Mrs. Donaldson was born on March 24, 1912, near Vandalia, the daughter of Charles and Louisa Grupp Girard. She married Ernest Donaldson; he died in 1969.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Naber of Weston, Conn.
