Marie Mills, 93, Roanoke, Ill.

Marie Mills, 93, of Roanoke, Ill., and formerly of Ramsey, died at 6:43 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, with the Rev. Larry O’Dell officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from noon until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: First Baptist Church in Ramsey.

Mrs. Mills was born on Dec. 30, 1916, in Vandalia, the daughter of Fredrick and Venda Eva Ashcraft Spengeman. She married Chester Laverne “Chet” Mills on Jan. 1, 1936, in Vandalia; he died on Feb. 10, 1978.

She is survived by a son, Norman Mills and his wife Judy of East Peoria.
