Patricia Lou “Pat” Taylor, 70, of Vandalia, died at 10:12 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at McInturff Cemetery in rural Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Friends and family may gather at the cemetery at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Fayette County Sheriff’s Association.
Mrs. Taylor was born on Aug. 10, 1939, in Bluff City, the daughter of James L. “Stripie” and Myrtle Marie Munter Davis. She married Daniel Lee “Dan” Taylor on Oct. 29, 1956, in Vandalia; he died on March 8, 1998.
She was retired from Crane Packing, was a former X-ray technician at Fayette County Hospital and was an employee at The Model, all in Vandalia. She was a member of Crawford-Hale American Legion Unit 95 Auxiliary in Vandalia.
She is survived by daughters, Marilyn and her husband Jack Rockow of Effingham, and Carolyn Taylor and Gorden Thacker of Vandalia; grandchildren, Ty Henrichsmeyer and his wife Sara, Travis Henrichsmeyer and his wife Samantha, Jadi Rockow and Jason Rockow; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Traeten; brother, Lloyd “Bud” Davis of Vandalia; and sisters, Arlene Slater and Donna Harrison, both of Vandalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Billy Robert, Darold and Willard “Fuzz” Davis; sister, Mary Maxine Davis; and great-grandson, Haidden J. Henrichsmeyer.
