William R. Veal, 85, Vernon

William R. Veal, 85, of Vernon, died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Day Funeral Home in Patoka, with the Revs. Bill Stephens and Clayton Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Farmers Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Memorials: Farmers Cemetery.

Mr. Veal was born on March 23, 1924, in Shobonier. He is survived by sons, William D. “Bill” Veal and his wife Ann of Vernon, and Roger Veal and his wife Kathryn of Granger, Ind.
