Leona M. Landolt, 91, Greenville

Leona Marie Landolt, 91, of Greenville, died at 7:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Greenville.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville, with Darryl Bolen officiating. Burial was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: Bond County Hospice or First Christian Church in Greenville.

Mrs. Landolt was born on Sept. 7, 1918, in Millersburg, the daughter of Fred E. and Emma Barth File. She married Leonard Landolt on April 15, 1952.

She grew up in Bond County, and attended Hunter School and Greenville High School. She worked at Johnson, Stephens and Shinkle Shoe Factory in Vandalia for 10 years, and in the restaurant business for many years; she worked at Hickey’s Café, then owned and operated The Gables and Leona’s Café for 18 years.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia and her husband Carl Sutton of Greenville, Sandra K. Marshall of Nashville, Sandra and her husband Dennis Schlott of Lafayette, Ind., and Pamela J. Landolt of rural Smithboro; grandchildren, Brett Marshall, Jeff Sutton, James Sutton, and Aaron and Angela Schlott; and great-grandchildren, Ransom, Rowan, Ridgely, Evan, Carley, Emily, Alyssa, Kate, Nick and Stephanie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Irene Bryant, Lucille Retter, Virginia (in infancy), Clarence File and Lester File.
