Wanda Eubank, 77, Vandalia
Wanda Eubank, 77, of Vandalia, died at 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with Pastor Peter Kolb officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church on Saturday. Hohlt & File Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Holy Cross Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.
Ms. Eubank was born on Aug. 15, 1932, in Effingham, the daughter of Kurt and Ethel Wagoner Ziegler.
She was retired from John Crane Inc. and was a former waitress at Jay’s Restaurant in Vandalia. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy and her husband Kent Hites of Hillsboro, and Kellie and her husband Bill Clouse of Mahomet; grandchildren, Angela Hites of Dallas, Texas, Amanda Hites and her fiancé Sean Priewe of Chicago, Dalton Clouse of Mahomet, Bailee Clouse of Mahomet, Dustin McKinney and his wife Tammy of Vandalia, Justin Manley and his wife Jennifer of Vandalia, Heather Mason of Marshall and Nicole Clouse of Marshall; great-grandchildren, Haley Cannon, Katlyn McKinney, Dawson McKinney, Eric McKinney, Brayden Manley, Hannah Nash and Shelby Nash, all of Vandalia, and Taylor Mason and Camden Mason of Marshall; sisters, Judy Ziegler of Effingham and Shirley Ziegler of Orange, Texas; brothers, Lloyd Ziegler of Effingham, Bob Ziegler and his wife Ginger of Plano, Texas, John Ziegler and his wife Pat of Culver City, Calif., Ron Ziegler and his wife Tess of Chatham, and Dale Ziegler and his wife Marsha of Greenup; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cathy Manley; sister, Mardell Carter; brother, Melvin Ziegler; and two grandsons.
