Robert “Bob” Mahon, 74, St. Peter

Robert “Bob” Mahon, 74, of St. Peter, died on Tuesday evening, June 9, 2009, at his home.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in rural St. Peter, with military rites accorded by the St. Elmo American Legion Post. Visitation was held from noon until time of services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: American Heart Association.

Mr. Mahon was born on Aug. 13, 1935, in Fayette County, the son of Frank W. and Dorothy M. McMillan Mahon.

He was a farmer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by brothers, Glenn Mahon and his wife Iris of St. Elmo, and Jack Mahon and his wife Judy of Salem; sisters, Virginia Lovett of St. Elmo, and Claribelle and her husband Harold Irvin of Urbana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
