Kevin E. Morrison, 52, Beecher City

Kevin E. Morrison, 52, of rural Beecher City, died at 5:16 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Morrison Cemetery in rural Beecher City, with Shannon Bopp officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown. Memorials: Donor’s choice.

Mr. Morrison was born on Feb. 23, 1957, in Vandalia, the son of George and Grace Sinnard Morrison. She married Jayne Simmons on March 31, 1979.

He was a backhoe operator for PETCO in St. Elmo.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Chad Morrison of Jacksonville and Josh Morrison of Beecher City; brother, Richard Morrison and his wife Richelle of Beecher City; sister, Leora Sluder of St. Elmo; and grandchildren, Emmanuel Morrison and Kaylianna Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herbert Morrison and his wife Bonnie, and Gilbert Morrison; and brother-in-law, Harold Sluder.
