Margaret “Marge” Palm, 91, of St. Elmo, died at 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Friendship Manor in St. Elmo.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday at Kessel Funeral Home in St. Elmo. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials: Donor’s choice.
Mrs. Palm was born on March 2, 1918, in Camargo, the daughter of Herbert Naylor and Lucy Long Naylor-Crum. She married Harley E. Palm on May 12, 1962, in Detroit, Mich.; he died on July 27, 2000.
She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Vandalia, and she and her husband had two dachsund pups that were very special to them.
She is survived by a stepson, Daryl Palm and his wife Jean of Troy, Mich.; stepgranddaughter, Emily and her husband Daniel Danford of Dryden, Mich.; great-stepgrandson, Aiden Danford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Fountain “Jack” Crum and Walter Crum Jr.; and sisters, Edith Shipley, Agnes Potts, Betty Myers and Minnie Myers.
