Loren Dean Huddlestun, 59, of Vandalia, died at 2 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at his home.
Services will be held at 1 a.m. on Friday at Panama United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Dave Trover and Randy Sands officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Panama. Visitation will be held at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama. Memorials: Panama United Methodist Church of American Lung Association.
Mr. Huddlestun was born on Jan. 5, 1950, in Litchfield, the son of William L. and Betty J. Dixon Huddlestun. He married Jeanette Grisham on March 28, 1970, at the Assembly of God Church in Sorento.
He was a supervisor in the gas department for AmerenIP for 29 years before his retirement. He was a graduate of Litchfield High School, and a member of the Ansar Shrine in Springfield, Donnellson Masonic Lodge, Panama Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 6628 and Marine Corps League of Vandalia. He served in the Marines.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Lisa and her husband Danny Melton of Mulberry Grove, and Jayma and her husband Shawn Shrum of Granite City; grandchildren, Madison, Dakota, Trey, Troy and Raegan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
