Tammy Lynn Payne, 46, of Patoka, died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at First Baptist Church in Patoka, with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church. Memorials: Patoka American Legion Post No. 543, First Baptist Church in Patoka or donor’s choice.
Mrs. Payne was born on April 1, 1962, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of G. Paul and Lou Friedman Etheridge. She married Mark D. Payne on May 31, 1980, in Patoka.
She lived most of her life in Patoka, and was a school bus driver for the Patoka School District. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Mark C. Payne and fiancé Sarah Harvard of Vernon, and Tyler Payne of Patoka; mother, of Patoka; brother, Mike Etheridge and his wife Mary of Hoffman; sisters, Lou Ann and her husband Mike McGee, and Cindy and her husband Larry Miller, both of Patoka; mother-in-law, Virginia Payne of Vernon; sisters-in-law, Crystal and her husband Joe Beckman of Centralia, Kathy and her husband Tom Burks of Nashville, Tenn., and Jenny and her husband Darren Sullens of Sandoval; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; and father-in-law, Vernon Payne.
