Charlotte M. Moran, 84, of Vandalia, died at 1:49 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Dr. Ward Sussenbach officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Floral Park Cemetery Chapel in Indianapolis, Ind. Memorials: Parkview Free Methodist Church in Vandalia.
Mrs. Moran was born on Sept. 3, 1924, in Brazil, Ind., the daughter of Robert N. and Mamie Heacox Stallcop. She married Forrest Edward Clay on Sept. 2, 1950; he died in October 1976. She married Herbert H. Moran in November 1985; he died in 1992.
She was a retired secretary with Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, Ind., and a member of Parkview Free Methodist Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by a son, Paul Clay and his wife Jackie of Vandalia; stepson, Bob Moran and his wife Edna of Indianapolis, Ind.; stepdaughter, Kay Taylor of Indianapolis, Ind.; and grandchildren, Jason, Ryan and Elizabeth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and three sisters.
