Linda Ann Dunn, 60, of the Pittsburg area, died at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday at her son’s home.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove, with the Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Burial was in Duncan Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials: American Cancer Society or Crown Point Church in rural Vandalia.
Mrs. Dunn was born on May 26, 1948, in Ft. Valley, Ga., the daughter of Barney Shurley Sr. and Ruby Sloan Shurley Moye. She married William T. Dunn on April 20, 1991, in Shobonier.
She moved to Fayette County when she got married. She ran the office for Dunn Transportation until she and her husband retired in March 2007. She attended Crown Point Church, located between Vandalia and Pittsburg.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Scott Giles and his wife Sherry of rural Vandalia, Shawn Giles and his wife DeAnna of Ft. Valley, Ga.; daughter, Cindy Marie Giles of Ft. Valley, Ga.; stepson, Billy Joe Dunn of Vandalia; and stepdaughter, Brandy Lyn Dunn of Flippen, Ark.; sisters, Bonnie Jean Shurley of Wilderville, Tenn., Geraldine Ledbetter of Ft. Valley, Ga.; brothers, Barney Shurley Jr. of Vandalia and Bennie Lee Moye of Ft. Valley, Ga.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six stepgrandchildren; and seven great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronnie Moye; and Judy W. Moye.
