Evelyn Sue Fisher, 62, of Effingham and formerly of St. Elmo, died at 12:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Evergreen Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo. No visitation is scheduled. Kessel Funeral Home in St. Elmo was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Donors choice.
Miss Fisher was born on June 20, 1945, in St. Elmo, the daughter of Glenn and Violet Anderson Fisher.
She was employed at the garment factory in Altamont in the early 1970s, at Dixie Cream Donut Shop in Effingham from 1978-92 and the Ramada Inn restaurant in Effingham from 1998 until she retired in June 1999. She was a past member of Prairieview United Methodist Church in rural St. Elmo.
She is survived by a brother, Kenneth Fisher and his wife Brenda of Effingham; nephews, Timothy Fisher and his wife Laura of Hammond, and Joshua Fisher and girlfriend Amanda Chrisman of Effingham; two great-nephews; and three great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
