Lucille M. Crawford, 78, of Vernon, died on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Carlyle Health Center in Carlyle.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Day Funeral Home in Patoka, with the Rev. Clayton Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials: Patoka Fire Department or Patoka United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Crawford was born on May 31, 1929, in Danville, the daughter of Fred and Merle Frailey Alm. She married Robert Clark Crawford on June 26, 1948, in East St. Louis; he died on July 15, 1982.
She lived in the Vernon and Patoka area most of her life. She worked for Miss Elaines Dress Factory in Centralia and Crane Packing Co. in Vandalia for many years, and she was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed gardening, canning, raising flowers and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Crawford is survived by a daughter, Sharon and her husband Hugh Reese of Carlyle; son, Ronald Crawford and his wife Pam of Vernon; grandchildren, Shannon and her husband Nick Warnecke of Albers, Andrea and her husband Billy Maddox of Chapmansboro, Tenn., and Courtney Crawford of Salem; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Luke Crawford and his wife Barb of Odin, Pauline and her husband Harold Lutz of Patoka, Florence and her husband Edwin Ticknor of Sandoval, Ruth Crawford of Centralia, Frank Crawford of Roanoke, Ill., and Ester Guzzardo of Mt. Prospect.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
