Thelma B. Dunbar, 93, of St. Elmo, died at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Friendship Manor in St. Elmo.
Graveside burial rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Sidener Cemetery in rural St. Elmo, with the Rev. Kent Pee Wee Denton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Kull Funeral Home in St. Elmo. Memorials: American Heart Association or donors choice.
Mrs. Dunbar was born on March 1, 1914, in Wheatland Township in Fayette County, near St. James, the daughter of Cleveland and Ida Calvert-Fulton. She married Cline Fogler Dunbar on Jan. 4, 1933, in Farina; he died on June 21, 1985, while working at home.
She is survived by a daughter, Erna Fae and her husband Charlie Koontz of St. Elmo; grandsons, Daniel Koontz of Effingham, and David and his wife Penny Sue Koontz of St. Elmo; great-grandsons, Adam Koontz and his fiance Melanie Schelter of St. Elmo, and Joshua and his wife Christy Koontz of St. Elmo; great-granddaughter, Sarah and her husband Kabe Wright of St. Elmo; great-great-grandchildren, Makayla Osmon, Makenzie Reeder and Gavin Koontz, all at home in St. Elmo; nephew, Larry and his wife Joan Fulton of Mt. Zion; and nieces, Nina Fulton of Moweaqua and Sharon Lepkowiez of Justice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Harold Ernest Fulton and his wives, Gladys and Evelyn.
