Stella Ray Ward, 76, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Crown Point Church, Rural Vandalia, IL with Pastor Pete LeDuc officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. She was born April 27, 1947, in Illinois, the daughter of John Henry & Marjorie (Carter) Depew. She worked in maintenance at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia, IL and loved spending time with her grandchildren and dog, Izzy.

She is survived by: Sons – Bill Ward, Vandalia, IL and Robert Allen Ward & Becky, Brownstown, IL; Daughters – Sara Wilson & Tim, Fillmore, IL and Lisa Green & Eric, Vandalia, IL; Brother – John Wesley Depew, Shelbyville, IL; 8 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren.
