Patricia M. Hoffman, 80, Rural Vandalia
Patricia Mae Hoffman, 80, of rural Vandalia, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, March 31, 2022, at her home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia with the Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Interment will be in Evans Cemetery in rural Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Patricia Mae Lewis was born on Oct. 03, 1941, in Fayette County, the daughter of Edgar Leroy and Pauline Bernice (Crothers) Lewis, though she was raised by her grandmother, Katie Cable. Patricia married Billy Ross Hoffman on May 28, 1960; together they celebrated nearly 62 years of marriage and raised two children.
Patricia had various types of employment throughout the years while also maintaining a balanced home and caring for her two children. She loved nothing more than to have a good laugh, cross stitch and read. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Hoffman is survived by her husband; son, David Hoffman and wife Tanya of Vandalia; daughter, Teresa and husband James Fox of Plainfield; grandchildren, Ryan Roggelin, Justin Roggelin, Brennen Hoffman, Catti Hoffman, and Kaven Hoffman and wife Jaden; aunt, Doris Cable; nephew, Timmy Lewis; and niece, Cindy Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Katie Cable; brother, Michael Lewis; uncles, Earl Crothers and Danny Cable; and aunts, Nina Geddes and Mary Grubaugh.
