Robert D. ‘Bob’ Warner, 89, Ramsey

Robert D. “Bob” Warner, 89, of Ramsey, passed away on Saturday, Feb.19, 2022, at Vandalia Rehab & Healthcare Center in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at First Baptist Church of Ramsey in Ramsey, with Pastor Jeff Shouse officiating. Burial will follow at Ramsey Cemetery in Ramsey, with military rites accorded by Ramsey and Herrick American Legion Post. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday, both at the church. Memorials: First Baptist Church of Ramsey. Mr. Warner was born on June 22, 1932, in Ramsey, the son of Rufus “Bud” Andrew and Marie Edna (Fouts) Warner. He married Charlotte G. Neathery in 1955 in Cairo; she passed away on Sept. 27, 2011. He was a heavy equipment operator and member of Union Local 520 for 50 years; U.S. Army veteran of Korea; and member of First Baptist Church of Ramsey, Ramsey American Legion, Ainad Temple Shrine and Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Jones of North Fort Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Tammy Miller of Bingham, and Paula Wright and Jeff, Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Gwyn and Carley Miller, and Griffin and Macy Wright; brothers, Johnnie Warner and Karen of Ramsey, and Billy Warner and Kim of Vandalia; sisters, Mary Hayes and Tom of Herrick, Betty Goodman and Gary of Romeoville, and Linda Gillman and Beril, Ramsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Paula McDermith; grandson, Dustin; and sisters, Donna Whitten and Anna Belle Hill.
