Thomas “Tom” H. Boaz, 97, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Military Rites will be held by Crawford-Hale American Legion Post #95, Vandalia, and Brownstown VFW Post #9770. Memorials may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue, Vandalia. He was born June 26, 1924, in Mayfield, KY, the son of Charles J. and Blanche (Humphrey) Boaz. He married Florene M. Shatz on January 16, 1949, in Mayfield, KY; she passed away March 24, 2012. He worked as a clothing sales representative; was a US Navy World War II veteran; member of Temperance Lodge #16, A.F.A.M., Vandalia; American Legion Post #95; Vandalia Country Club, and affiliated with the First United Methodist Church, Vandalia. Tom had a huge heart, he never met a stranger and always had a smile.

He is survived by his daughters, Ann Emerick, Vandalia, and Julie Morgan, Bonita Springs, FL; grandchildren, Greg Emerick and Ede, St. Peters, MO; Todd Emerick and Tracy, Vandalia, and Jill Morgan, Orlando, FL; great –grandchildren, Zeke, Ella, Jayden, Braxton, Keegan and Harper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, infant James Howard, and brothers, Howard and Jim Boaz.
