Virgil Henry, 40, of Altamont

Virgil Henry, 40, of Altamont died at 3:35 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Ron Mulvaney officiating with burial to follow. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be to the American Cancer Society or the donor’s choice.

Virgil Frank Henry, III was born on Thursday, May 21, 1981 in Munster, IN to Virgil F., Jr. and Christal (Jennings) Henry. He married Kelly Thomson on May 14, 2005. He was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church, Flora. He was a manager at Stevens Industries in Teutopolis.

Virgil is survived by his wife of over 16 years, Kelly; daughters, Raegen and Rylan Henry both at home; mother, Christal Henry, Farina; brothers, Christopher (Cathy) Henry, Fairfield and Jeremiah (Rachel) Henry, Louisville; sister, Sara (Jake) White, Kinmundy; sisters-in-law, Stacy (Brian) Winkle, Altamont and Felicia (Devin) Banning, Altamont; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.
