Berta L. Curry, 73, Effingham

Berta Lynn Curry, 73, of Effingham, died at 5:55 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in her home.

Private visitation was to be held, with burial following in Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Gieseking Funeral Home in Altamont was in charge of arrangements. Memorias: Griffith Cemetery Association or Lincolnland Hospice.

Mrs. Curry was born on Dec. 11, 1937, in Healdton, Okla., the daughter of Raymond and Minerva Skaggs Smith. She married Larry Curry on Jan. 22, 1957, in Vandalia.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Regina Curry of Effingham; and son, Scott Curry and his wife Karen of Jonesville, Mich.
