‘Bud’ Harrison, 77, St. Elmo

“Bud” Harrison, 77, of St. Elmo, died at 12:50 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Kull Funeral Home in St. Elmo, with the Rev. James Giffin officiating. Burial will be in Sidener Cemetery in Wheatland Township, rural St. Elmo. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: First Church of God, Wednesday evening “Kids’ Klub” or donor’s choice. Mr. Harrison was born on Aug. 19, 1934, in Hillsboro, the son of Delbert and Thelma Rhodes Harrison. He married Mary Carolyn Mathis on Dec. 18, 1955, at First Church of God in St. Elmo.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Marvin Lee Harrison of Gold Bar, Wash., and David Earl Harrison and his wife Penny of St. Elmo; and daughter, Kathy Lynn Baucum of Bloomington.
