John W. Cade Jr., 44, Patoka

John W. Cade Jr. 44, of Patoka, died on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in St. Elmo.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Mr. Cade was born on Aug. 22, 1967, in Mobile, Ala., the son of Ronald “Buck” and Sharon Gordon Lawley. He married Donna Jarrett in November 2005, and they were together for 20 years.

He is survived by his father, of Selma, Ala.; wife; stepdaughters, Lori Gray of Brownstown, Jennifer and her husband Steven Durbin of St. Elmo, and Amy and her husband Darren Smith of Omega; and stepsons, Jacob Bolyard and his wife Christine of Vandalia, and Clayton York and his wife Crystal of Vandalia.
