• Curtis W. Smith, 42, 421 Cherokee Strip, Brownstown, was arrested on Aug. 13 on charges of driving while his license is suspended, improper lane usage, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was $1,500.
• Paul L. Gilkeson, 44, Charleston, was arrested on Aug. 13 for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of 2.5-10 grams of cannabis. Bond was $7,500.

• Johnathan A. Evans, 19, 309 W. Vine St., Vernon, was arrested on Aug. 10 on a charge of domestic battery. He was released at the order of the state’s attorney’s office.
