ExxonMobil Annuitants Club Meets

Nineteen members and four guests met on July 31, 2025 for the luncheon and meeting of the St. Elmo ExxonMobil Annuitants Club held at the China Town Restaurant in Litchfield.

The meeting began with the Pledge to the Flag.  Dean Black offered the meal blessing.

After everyone had finished their meal, President Johnson opened the meeting.  The Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved.  Carolyn thanked the group for attending.

Members celebrating their birthdays in July were Tanya Gorman and Martha Shelton.  There were no anniversaries in July.

Since we received our stipend from the company, the Club will pay for meals until we run out of money.  We will run out of money at our next meeting.  All dues have been received for 2025.   Dues were $5 per member for 2025.

Members with health problems were brought forth.  Wishes for quick recovery for all mentioned were offered.

The passing of member Dallas Fairley was announced.  Dean Black gave a short recollection of his work experiences with Dallas and his wife.  The Club made a donation to the Altamont First United Methodist Church in his memory.

We also talked about insurance coverage.  No one had had any problems this month!

A discussion was held about digital key deadbolt locks.  Bill Link told of his experience with them and how they met his needs for security at his house.

The meeting closed with a reminder that we would meet at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia on August 28, 2025.

Members present were:  Carolyn Johnson, Ron and Linda Klotz, Bill Link, Barb Lounsbury, Dean and Elloise Black, LaVerne Laux, Betty Williams, Paul and Sharon Prosise, Phil and Terry Hays, Frank and Carolyn Heigert, Jeff and Amy Potthoff, and Mike and Maria Klitzing.  The guests present were Jane Hammond, Evelyn Wells, Chelsey Wells, and Bonnie Haur.
