Vandalia Christian Academy Has a Lot to Offer In 2025

With admissions for the 2025/2026 school year already underway, Stacy talked about the Field Trips that the VCA has taken. With trips to the Effingham Performance Center, the Ballard Nature Center, The Children’s Museum in Decatur, the St. Louis Arch and the YMCA. The Vandalia Christian Academy also participates in the Vandalia Halloween Parade with a float, as well as the Old Tyme Christmas and the Festival of Lights serving free hot chocolate.
With their Club VCA, they have different workshops they put on each month. With April focusing on music, the students will have the ability to try their hand at different instruments, and with May their focus will be on Gardening, Nature and Baking.
The VCA has a master schedule that they follow and Mesnard stated that a lot of people don’t know that they have a State approved schedule and curriculum that they adhere to. The school day runs from 8 am to 3:15 pm Monday thru Friday.
Mesnard also talked about their VCA Building Project that is currently underway at 1848 Thrill Hill Rd. With the school outgrowing their current location, Stacy is excited about what the new building will offer the students and staff. The 3 phase project of the construction, Stacy said that they are clear of phase 1 and are close to finishing Phase 2.
