pital to support the new Medical Center under construction on the hospital’s Vandalia campus.
The $15 million, two-story brick, metal and glass building will span 42,000 square feet and will be complete later this summer. The first floor of the building will house primary care, physical and occupational therapy, occupational medicine and Express Care – three services currently offered in other leased Vandalia facilities. Primary care providers relocating to the new facility include Richard Funneman, MD; Jeff Jenson, MD, Bruce Braswell, PA-C; and Deidre Langston, FNP. It will feature 24 exam rooms, X-ray and phlebotomy services. The second floor of the building includes space for specialty clinics and business offices.
“Commercial Electric is such a great community partner of Sarah Bush Lincoln’s, and this gift to Friends & Families shows their commitment to our hospital in Vandalia,” said Amy Card, SBL Health Foundation director and board member of Friends & Families of SBLFCH. “Sarah Bush Lincoln is committed to continuing and growing quality healthcare for residents of Fayette and surrounding counties and we’re excited to open the new Medical Center there.” Friends & Families is a main fundraising entity for SBL Fayette County Hospital.
