ExxonMobil Annuitants Club Meets

Twenty-one members and four guests met on December 19, 2024 for the luncheon and meeting of the St. Elmo ExxonMobil Annuitants Club held at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia.

The meeting began with the Pledge to the Flag.  Dean Black offered the meal blessing.

After everyone had finished their meal, Vice President Klotz opened the meeting.  The Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved. Mike and Maria Klitzing provided the table decorations.

December birthdays were celebrated by Bev and Bill Klaus.  Norm and Debbie Deck celebrated their anniversary in December.

Since we received our stipend from the company, the Club will pay for meals until we run out of money.  All dues have been received for 2024.   We are collecting dues of $5 per member for 2025.

Members with health problems were brought forth.  Wishes for quick recovery for all mentioned were offered.

The annual Christmas party Bingo extravaganza for the South group began with 4 Corners, won by Elloise Black.  The Regular game was won by Phil Hays, and the X game won by La Verne Laux.  Martha Shelton won the Postage Stamp game, and the Full Card game was won by Dallas Fairley.  The door prize was won by Gary Larimore.

The meeting closed with a reminder that we would not meet in January or February.  Our next meeting will be at the China Town Restaurant in Litchfield on March 27, 2025.

Members present were:  Ron and Linda Klotz, Bill Link, Pat Caldwell, Jr. and Betty Williams, Martha Shelton, Mike and Maria Klitzing, Dallas Fairley, Jeff and Amy Potthoff, Dean and Elloise Black, LaVerne Laux, Roger and Becky Bergman, Phil and Terry Hays, and Paul and Sharon Prosise.  The guests present were Gary Larimore, Kate Ruff, Dave Ruff, and Bud Rackers.

We received our stipend from the Corporation on October 31.
