Don will be remembered for his passion of writing song lyrics, restoring vintage vehicles, being ahead of the curve in anything computer/electronic related, traveling and building more than any human should! Until the day he left us he kept doing what he loved however he could. His goal for 2025 was to walk on his 86th birthday, there’s not a doubt in our minds he would have. He was a big man with an even bigger heart who loved homemade chocolate chip cookies and catching anyone he could with his video camera so he could document it.
He loved his family, dogs (well sometimes!) and most of all, his wonderful wife, Andrea.
Don was born the second oldest of 8 children in the tiny town of Mulberry Grove. He graduated in the class of ‘57 from Oswego High School. His career with Western Electric began in Montgomery, IL and ended in Nashville, TN with BellSouth.
In true Don fashion he did what he said he was going to do by completing his life memoir before leaving us, now we just have to figure out where to find it amongst his 1000’s of files!
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
