Monthly Senior Brain Support Group Launches
MyMemoryWorx brain training program and Effingham Public Library, Club Maverick will launch on Tuesday, August 6th from 10:30 to 11:45AM at the Effingham Public Library, 200 N. 3rd Street. It will thereafter run on the first Tuesday of each month through October.
Hosted by Kelly Willenborg, a Brain Health Gerontologist, Club Maverick is a program for men and women of any age who may be experiencing memory loss or who may be facing neurological changes such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or Parkinson’s. Everyone, including caregivers, are welcome. No prior registration is required, and the program is FREE.
The Club Maverick brain boosting program includes directed cognitive stimulation, focus and attention span strengthening, language skills, musical engagement, and interactive socialization.
“By focusing on mind fitness,” commented Ms. Willenborg, “we can all proactively age more positively. This program is specifically designed to address and improve the cognitive issues that may come with aging.”
Subsequent dates for this program are:
