Vandalia Sports Boosters Meeting Held

Vandalia Sports Boosters is our local organization that helps fund sports related costs for our Vandal athletes. During the April and May Vandalia Sports Booster meetings the following items were voted on and approved: $500 active membership scholarships were given to Briley Depew, Andrew Kelly, Isabella LaMonica and Kyleigh Roman. For the previously approved request to pay 1/3 of the cost for new tumbling mats, with the cheer team providing 1/3 and the school providing the last 1/3 it was voted to add 1/3 of the shipping costs to the amount making a total of $3683 for our donation. We also approved $650 to pay for 1/2 of the HS girls softball uniforms. Also received was a request to help the Cheerleaders pay for an away 2-day Cheer Camp, it was voted and approved for 1/3 of the total; $1560. Lastly, we received a request to help pay for a JV and Varsity Basketball shootout tournament at $200 per team and approved to pay the full amount of $400.
