Donald M. “Duck” Myers 68, Cresson, died December 29, 2023, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Brooke and Bob Patterson in Lilly.

Born April 15, 1955, in Altoona the son of the late Ronald and Mary Catherine (Judd) Myers.
Preceded in death by a niece, Alivia Croll and nephew Jordan Hammer, sisters-in-law Dianne Myers and Linda Myers and mother-in-law Marilyn Gregg.
Survived by his wife the former Dana Baird whom he married August 23, 1975, and these children; Brooke (Bob) Patterson, Courtney (Steve) Proudfit, Carley Myers, Brianna (TJ) Lawrence, Paul David (Emily) Myers and Patrick (Katie) Myers, grandchildren, Devin (Jordan Renager), Brandt. Dane (Miranda), Chase (Corinne), McKennah, Bryce, Kendyl and Lachlan, Harper, Hallie, Camden and Hudson great-grandchildren, Liam, Carson, Peyton, and Emersyn, brother of James “Jake” (Shirley), John “Jack”, Richard “Dick”, Thomas “Tom” (Christine), twin sister, Diane (Fred) Gibbons, Mary Ann (Perry) Riggleman, Ronald “Gus” (Rhonda), Virginia “Ginny” (Doug) Hammer, and Nancy (Rich) Patton, and sisters-in-law Kelly (Rick) Marshall and Page (Pat) McCoy and numerous nieces and nephews. Duck worked as a coal analyst for Standard Lab in Cresson.
A 1973 graduate of Penn Cambria High School, Duck loved being with his family, all Pittsburgh sports, the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins and Penn State football, gambling, bingo and going to the Legion to put his dollar in. He was a social member of the Cresson American Legion. He also coached the Legion Little League Baseball Team for which his sons played. He was an umpire for the Little League.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday and from 11 am until time of services at 1pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin, PA, with the Pastor Robert Kephart officiating.
