Two Vandals move up in all-time regular season lists; Kelly No. 1 in two categories

 

Vandalia’s quarterback is no No. 1 on the school’s all-time regular season lists in two categories, and one of his receivers is tied for second on one of those lists.

Andrew Kelly finished the regular season with 44 touchdowns (both passing and rushing), putting him 3 TD’s ahead of his cousin, Matthew 41 (41 in 2021).

Kelly is now also in the all-time leader in regular season passing touchdowns, with 21 (2023 season), one better than Matthew Wells (2017-19).

Kelly also became the only Vandal to average more than 300 yards of total offense per game for a season, and he is the third Vandal to average more than 200 total yards of offense per game in a season, joining Trevor Smalls (once) and Hagy (three times).

Kohnor Depew finished the regular season with 13 touchdown catches, tying him for second on the all-time regular season list with Marcus Zimmerman (2019).

Tops on that list is Carson Ruot, who had 14 TD receptions in 2021.
