Vandals golf teams second at SCC Tourney

Vandalia golfers Connor McCall and Abby Tate led their teams to second-place finishes at the South Central Conference Tournaments at Indian Springs Golf Course.

McCall fired a par round of 70 to be the tournament medalist on the boys’ side, and Tate shot a 91 to finish second on the girls’ side.

Jonah Beesley shot a 4-over-par 74 to help the Vandals to a second-place finish.

Litchfield won the boys’ tournament with a 299 team total, and Vandalia edged Staunton by one stroke, 324-325, to finish second.

North Mac won the girls’ tournament with a 377 total, with Vandalia claiming second with a 430 score.
