Sandra J. Anderson, formerly Sandra Gerlach, nee Hoffman, 83, peacefully passed away at her home on September 10, 2023.

Sandy was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years for Palatine School District #15, and a longtime resident of Palatine, IL. In retirement, Sandy loved to travel with her beloved late husband of 26 years, Robert F. Anderson.

Sandy was born December 30, 1939 to late Rev. Arnold and Eula (nee Grigg) Hoffman and grew up in Vandalia, IL. She was a loving mother of, along with Roy Gerlach, Stephen Gerlach, Michael (Dana) Gerlach, Jennifer (Bob) Widlowski. Devoted step-mother of Scott (Kathy) Anderson, Mark (Karen) Anderson, and Jeff Anderson; cherished grandmother of Jake, Adam, Anna, Morgan, Blake, Bobby, Trey, Kaylin, Matthew, Kendall, Patrick, Cameron and Lindsay. Loving cousin and friend of many.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 9:30AM, Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:30AM.
