Lady Vandals camp set for July 24-27

The Vandalia Lady Vandals basketball team is holding a camp for girls in grades 3-8 July 24-27.

The camp is open to all girls who will be entering grades 3-8 in the 2023-24 school year. The fee of $25 includes a camp T-shirt.

The camp schedule includes sessions for grades 3-5 from 8:30-10 a.m. each day, and sessions for grades 6-8 from 10 a.m.-noon daily.

“Teaching fundamental skills of the game of basketball in a fun atmosphere is our goal for the Lady Vandals Basketball Camp,” said Lady Vandals coach Mark Rinehart.

Shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding and man-to-man defense will be stressed, along with individual offensive moves and team play.

“We strive to help each individual improve her basketball skills,” Rinehart said.
