Leonarda Dacasin “Lily” Moore, 83, of Vandalia, IL, passed away at 12:09 PM, Friday, June 02, 2023 at Aperion Care in St. Elmo.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the First Pentecostal Church in Vandalia with Pastor Vic Votaw officiating. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, at the church. Leonarda Ramos was born on February 13, 1940 in Calasiao, Pangasinan, Philippines, the daughter of Proceso and Francesca (Dacasin) Ramos. She married Robert Eugene “Bobby” Moore on September 04, 1984 in New Orleans, LA. Together they celebrated 28 years of marriage before his passing on May 01, 2013.

Lily was a housekeeper; over the years, she was employed by Robbin’s Motel, Fayette County Hospital LTC, and Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was a devout member of the First Pentecostal Church in Vandalia and volunteered at Vandalia’s Little Community Garden. Lily loved fishing, gardening, cooking, and of course, spending time with her many close friends.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her sister, Rosie Soriano of the Philippines; step-daughters, Diane White of Murray, KY, Reita Benson of Rowlett, TX, and Wilma Howe of Ira, MI; step-son, Wayne Moore of Iuka, IL; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

Lily was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Felisa Saplan.
