Beulah J. Niepert, 94, Mulberry Grove

Beulah J. Niepert, age 94 of Mulberry Grove, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the First Church of Christ in Mulberry Grove, Illinois.  Pastor Randy Whitehead will officiate.  Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.  Memorials to First Church of Christ, Mulberry Grove.

Beulah, the daughter of Esta Franklin and Beatrice Blanche (Elam) Smith, was born March 21, 1929, in Bond County.  Beulah grew up in Mulberry Grove, attended the local schools, and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School with the Class of 1947.

Beulah and Richard William “Dick” Niepert were united in marriage on March 5, 1955, at the Liberty Baptist Church.  They were long time members of the church.  Dick passed away on March 18, 2022, after celebrating 67 years of marriage.  They are the parents of 3 boys, all who survive: William E. (Regina) Niepert of Mulberry Grove, David F. (Lauren) Niepert of Springfield, Illinois, and Michael D. Niepert and Carrie Smith of Mulberry Grove.

She worked for the Mulberry Grove High School as secretary for many years.  Beulah helped Dick on the farm and was at home with the boys.  She went back to work in the mid 1980’s at Midwest Commodities in Mulberry Grove.  Beulah loved spending time with her family and 6 grandchildren: Kasie (Keith) Jernigan, William (Alexis) Niepert, Kylee (Daniel) Evans, Michael Lee (Brittany) Niepert, Brandon Lee Niepert, Robert Ewbank, 12 great-grandchildren: Lukas, Natalee, Daniel, Xander, Jackson, Liam, Lilly, Addyson. Keaton, Clairica, Grayson, Ahria and one great-great-grandson: Bentlee Jernigan.

Beulah was the last of her generation, preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings: Dale Smith, Elbert Smith, Bernadine Edwards, and Vivian Elam.
