Allison L. Horn, 55,
Allison Lynn Horn, 55, died on March 26, 2023 at Barnes-St. Peters Hospital after a short hospitalization.

She was born October 18, 1967 in Vandalia, IL, the fourth child of Donald M. and Diane (Engelhardt) Adams.
Allison graduated from Vandalia Community High School, Class of 1986, and later earned a Business Education degree from Eastern Illinois University. She married James Horn in October 2005 at Vandalia Lake. She remained a member of Vandalia First United Methodist Church.
Allison was the best NeNe to her nephews and nieces (Blake, Connor, Alex, Andrew, Lauren, David, Cameron, and Max). She cherished family and tried to attend as many activities as she could while her health would allow. Allison married the love of her life, James, who was her devoted caregiver. She worked in transportation before having to go on disability. In her home, she connected through Facebook, had a crafting business Wreathink Wreaths, and remained a vibrant friend. She was the life of the party and will be missed by so many.
Survivors include: her husband, James Horn of St. Peters, MO; mother, Diane Adams of Vandalia; brothers, Doug (Sue) Adams of Greenville, SC, and David of Vandalia; sisters, Patti Bohner of Vandalia and Elizabeth (Steve) Grant of Edwardsville; and nieces and nephews.
Allison was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maurice and Hilda Adams of Patoka, Ervin and Eloise Wangrow of Vandalia, father, Don, and brother-in-law, Steve Bohner. Memorials can be donated to Spina Bifida of Greater St. Louis, 2705 Dougherty Ferry Rd, Ste. 200B, St. Louis, MO 63122. A Celebration of Life will be held in Vandalia this summer.
