Reno J. Keith, Jr., 41, Vandalia

Reno Jay Keith, Jr. passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the age of 41 at the Wooster Community Hospital in Wooster, OH.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 12:00, prior to service time. Burial will be in Adams-Gorden Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to the Family of Reno J. Keith, Jr.

Reno lived in Vandalia, IL and was working in Wooster, OH at the time of his unexpected death.

Reno was born on February 9, 1982 in Waukegan, IL, the son of Sarah Terrill and Reno Jay Keith, Sr.

Reno grew up in Chicago, IL before moving to Tombstone, AZ in 2000, Mesa, AZ in 2001 and Queen Creek, AZ in 2003.

He was employed at Village Inn in Mesa, AZ where he met and married Tela M. Winnie. Together they had their only child, a daughter, Justyna Justice Keith of Mesa, AZ.

Reno was a loving father to his “little girl” and also to his three “bonus boys”, David, Adam, and Austin (A.K.A. “The Boy”). Reno also enjoyed watching his two little bonus grandkids growing up, Genesis and Tobias.

Reno’s best friend in life, his dog Rusty and his other dog as well, Missy will surely miss him.

Reno attended First Christian Church of Brownstown and enjoyed fishing and cooking and loved mowing and tending to their little piece of property.

Reno worked as a laborer for Lanracorp. Inc. for five years however, after recovering from a medical condition he worked for a short time as a cook for two restaurants, Blind Society and The Copper Penny. Reno had just recently returned to work for Lanracorp, Inc.

Reno was preceded in death by his wife, Tela Marchel Winnie; grandparents: Luther & Rosemary Feltner and Mike & Peggy Keith; uncles: Luis, Dewey and William Feltner; step-sister, Mary Terrill; and niece, Aubrey Shirley.

Reno is survived by his daughter, Justyna Justice (Steven Fercha) Keith of Mesa, AZ; life partner, Elizabeth “Buffy” Robson of Vandalia, IL; mother, Sarah (John) Terrill of Brownstown, IL; father, Reno J. Keith, Sr. of Vandalia, IL; mother-in-law, Denice M. (David) Howard of Fountain Hills, AZ; mother-in-law, Carolyn Downs, of Moweaqua, IL; three bonus sons: David Noel Downs, Adam Joseph Robson, and “The Boy” Austin Mikal (Toni Green) Robson, all of Vandalia, IL; two bonus grandkids: Genesis and Tobias Green; brother, Billy (Elizabeth Eaton) Keith of Kenosha, WI; sisters: Jessica (Andy) Jones and Kayla Terrill, all of Brownstown, IL; step-brothers: Josh, Daniel and David Terrill; sisters-in-law: Kathy Downs of Decatur, IL and Carrie Downs of Moweaqua, IL; and brother-in-law, Donnie (Teresa) Downs of Moweaqua, IL.

Reno had a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will truly miss him. He was a kind, fun, great person to be around.

Rest easy Reno and we will see you again.
