Carla Lynn Donaldson, 68, of Decatur, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Carla’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Salem Cemetery, Decatur. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with services. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kidney Foundation.

Carla was born on July 28, 1954 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Wanda (Niebel) Jones. She married Dave Donaldson on August 31, 2016. Carla had previously worked for General Henry Biscuit Company in Du Quoin. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. Carla enjoyed riding with her husband in his truck.

Carla is survived by her husband: Dave Donaldson of Decatur, IL; step-children: Matthew Donaldson of O’Fallon, MO, Denise (Jason) Edwards of Vandalia, IL, Laura Donaldson of Vandalia, IL and Nicholas “Nick” Donaldson of Vandalia, IL; brothers: Roy (Lee) Jones of Florida and Paul (Jean) Jones of Du Quoin, IL; sisters: Carolyn Anderson of Florida, Faith Jones of Du Quoin, IL and Faye (Dennis) Bathon of Mt. Vernon, IL; step-grandchildren: Carter Watkins and Ariana Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
