Dennis K. Short, 61, Vandalia

Dennis Keith Short, of Vandalia, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the age of 61. Cherished son of the late Robert Leroy and Beverly Sue Short. Dear brother of Michael Steven (Kelly Lee) Short and the late Ronda Jo (The late Daren) Holliday; loving uncle of Kylee (Ben) Schauf, Jonathan Short, and Cassie (Tim) Dowling; nephew of Vern (Donna) Simmons of Zephyrhills, FL, and Sam (Tressa) Short of Mt. Zion, IL.

After retirement, Dennis enjoyed photography and spent a lot of time playing golf. He also was very handy and enjoyed woodworking, making wood chests, and boxes carving wood figures. Dennis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Services: The family is being served by Baue Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 2, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with service to follow at Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs 3950 West Clay Street. Memorials to none. Visit Baue.com
