Betty D. Silvestri, 84, Windchester, CA

Betty Dean (Hall) Silvestri, 84, of Winchester, CA, passed away on January 19, 2022, at Rancho Hot Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, CA.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation at give.myeloma.org.

Betty Dean (Hall) Silvestri was born on February 27, 1937, in Ramsey, Illinois the daughter of David Henry Hall and Cleda Viola Moutrey. She married David Roy Silvestri on April 22, 1959, in Bloomington, IL after the two met at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Springfield, where Betty worked in admitting and David was a radio reporter for WSOY in Decatur. Betty was retired and living in Southern California. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as her neighbors. She is fondly remembered for her generosity and thoughtfulness.

She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Laws, of Reno, Nevada; her three sons, Mark Silvestri and wife Virginia of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, Chris Silvestri of San Diego, CA, and Scott Silvestri and wife Lori of Southlake, TX; one daughter, Jill (Scheele) Silvestri and husband Ron of Albany, CA; grandchildren, Samantha, Katie and Sara Silvestri, of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; Timothy and Nathan Silvestri of San Diego, CA, Naomi Scheele of Albany, CA and Benjamin, Samuel and Hannah Silvestri of Southlake, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Roy Silvestri, parents, David Henry Hall and Cleda Viola Moutrey; her brother, Bernard Hall; and sisters, Myrl Anderson and Paula Trent.
