Steven R. Hoover, 66, Bingham

Steven R. Hoover, 66, of Bingham, formerly of Vandalia, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia, with Pastor Doug Cyrus officiating. Family and friends may gather at 10:30 A.M. Friday at the cemetery. Mr. Hoover was born on July 23, 1955, in Vandalia, the son of James Robert and Virginia Gertrude (Papes) Hoover.
Steven worked railroad construction and farmed. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing, and loved to mushroom hunt; He was a member of Mother of Dolors Catholic Church in Vandalia and the Fillmore Sportsman’s Club in Fillmore.
Steven is survived by: brothers, Mike Hoover and Sharry Nelson of Irving, Randy Hoover and Christina of Mulberry Grove, Andy Hoover and Christina of Mulberry Grove, and Jack Hoover of Mulberry Grove; sisters, Patricia Hoover of Jacksonville, Ark., and Amy Harris and John of Vandalia; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe and David; niece, Rachel; and nephew, Byron.
