Carylon C. Derler, 78, Ramsey

Carylon C. Derler, 78, of Ramsey, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, in her home.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana, with Nathaniel Mathis officiating. Burial was in Oconee Mound Cemetery. Mrs. Derler was born on July 9, 1943 in Mt. Erie to the late Leland Eugene and Wanda Berniece (Fout) Scott. She was raised in Mt. Erie, moving to Decatur, after she and Ed Derler were married on Sept. 10, 1966.. In 1978, Carolyn and Ed moved their family to Ramsey, where she lived for the remainder of her life. Carylon was a housewife, farm wife, and raised children and animals.
Carylon is survived by her husband, Ed Derler Sr; children, Ed Derler Jr. (Becky), Morrisonville, and Wendy (Kirby) Hall, Pana; granddaughters, Teri Hall of Pana, Amanda Hall of Pana and Brianna Caldwell of Taylorville; great-granddaughters,Braylin Caldwell, Jaiden Trudeau and Mariah Trudeau; and sisters, Marjorie (Floyd) Dowds of Opdyke and Linda (John) Krouse of Olney.
She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Homer Caldwell and Kolten Hall; and brothers: Bobby Joe Scott and Darrell Scott.
