Donald L. ‘Don’ Manley, 90, Ramsey
Donald “Don” L. Manley, 90, of Ramsey, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at Odin Health Care Center in Odin, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at McInturff Cemetery in rural Vandalia, with Pastor Robert Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia. Memorials: Unity Baptist Church and/or Fayette County Humane Society. Mr. Manley was born on March 9, in Fayette County, the son of David Edward and Nettie Beatrice (Guthrie) Manley. He married Betty Florence Barnett on June 4, 1955, in Vandalia.
He had been formerly employed with Johnson, Stephens and Shinkle Shoe Factory, Crane Packing and South Central FS. Don was a U.S. Army Veteran, stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict; and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Vandalia.
He is survived by his wife; son, Gary Manley and Christy, Vandalia; daughter, Nancy Manley Stephens, Nokomis; grandchildren, Michele Orsborn, and Jeremy, Arika Craig and Aaron Manley; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Jaxon Orsborn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and three sisters.
