Mary McFarland, 73, of Mulberry Grove

Mary McFarland, 73, of Mulberry Grove, passed away at 8:32 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, 2021 at her home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Brownstown building fund or to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary Helen McFarland was born on Monday, April 12, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA to Al and Mary Helen Gould. Mary lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. A member of the Ramsey Christian Church, she enjoyed caring for others and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with family.

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Tena) Gould, Vandalia; grandchildren, Travis (Lauren) Gould, Collinsville, and Tiffany (Jesse) Mumm, Effingham; and great-grandchildren, Brody and Madison Gould and Lennox and Elliot Mumm.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Gould.
