Barenfanger completes tables at burial ground for Eagle project

Eric Barenfanger has been a volunteer at the Old State Burial Ground for the past five years. “He has cleaned more headstones than I can count, located and ressurected long lost stones that had completely sunk into the ground, spent hours helping to put out close to 100 flags, and has always been willing to do anything I asked,” says Dorothy Donnel, caretaker of the cemetery. “Several months ago he asked me if he could do something at the OSBG to help him complete the requirements for his Eagle Scout Award.” Barenfanger designed and built octogon-shaped tables for the area. “Thanks to Eric’s thoughtfulness and generosity, our volunteers and the visitors who come to the OSBG will no longer have to sit on the ground to take a break or eat their lunch,” Donnell said.
